Day 1: Srinagar - Baltal

On this day, we arrive in Srinagar by air and then drive towards Baltal (via Sonamarg). It is at a distance of 115 kilometers. Once we reach Baltal, we spend this day on exploring the area and preparing for the trek to Amarnath caves on the next day. Later at night we have dinner together and go off to sleep in our tents.

Day 2: Baltal - Amarnath Cave - Baltal

On the second day we have an early breakfast and start our trek to Amarnath Caves, where we pay darshaan as it is  a holy cave. The Amarnaath stream has flowing ice-cold water which comes outside the cave. Inside the cave there are three huge white Lingas erect in the form of Shiva, Parvathi and Ganesha. Once we are done seeing this structure, we move onto return to Baltal. At night, we have our dinner together and go to sleep in our tents.

Day 3: Baltal - Srinagar

On the third day we drive back to Srinagar. Once we arrive here, we are taken to our houseboats. We have our dinner at the houseboat and go off to sleep.

Day 4: Srinagar

In the morning we go for sightseeing of the Mughal gardens where we also visit Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh. The Zabarwan mountains grace the background where you find a number of gardens and the Dal Lake. On our way we visit carpet-weaving factory. After lunch we go for a Shikara ride on Dal Lake. We visit floating vegetable gardens and other locations. We stay overnight in these Deluxe houseboats.
